Special machines for machining fibreglass and composite
For more than 20 years, ODIN Engineering has invented, developed, engineered, installed and serviced casting machines, drilling machines, cutting machines and milling machines, which are used by other companies to process fibreglass and composite for precision workpieces.
In this field we are known for innovative solutions, solid quality and a high level of service.
”Some of the special machines that we’re known for are drilling machines that make very precise holes in the fibreglass. ODIN Engineering has developed the drilling operation over many years. The centering of the holes and the precision of the drilling are of great importance for the subsequent durability of the material. At ODIN we’re highly specialised in special machines that can perform precise drilling of the holes,” says Lars Bo Krogh Jensen, mechanical engineer at ODIN Engineering.
He is involved in developing, designing and constructing both drilling machines and other specialised machines for our customers’ machining of fibreglass and composite, including finding the components for the special machines:
“We’ve a great knowledge of how different combinations of fibreglass and composite behaves. We use this knowledge when designing and constructing special machines. This is a knowledge that ODIN Engineering has acquired over many years. This means that we’ve a good basis for assessing the various components that must be selected and produced for the specific installations,” says Lars Bo Krogh Jensen.
Special machines run non-stop for 10-20 years
The casting machines, drilling machines, cutting machines and milling machines produced at ODIN Engineering are not only specially designed for the exact types of fibreglass and composite that the customers want to process. The machines are often vital to our customers’ production. That is why ODIN Engineering delivers specialised machines of a quality that makes them stable and reliable in the production at the customers for many years.
“ODIN’s special machines can run for 10-20 years day in and day out non-stop when the customers perform service according to our instructions,” says Lars Bo Krogh Jensen.
When the machines are fully developed, ODIN Engineering assists in testing, installing and delivering the machines and ensures that they always function optimally. It also means that ODIN Engineering provides service and support – both planned and immediate and, what is more, around the world:
”The customers can call at any time and ask for service, for example at major renovation and repair tasks. We may also be called at short notice to solve a problem. If necessary, we gladly fly to the USA with a spare part, and we are willing to work 24/7 to provide good service and extremely high uptime on the machines at our customers.”
Innovative solutions for new special machines
According to Mads S. Rasmussen, CEO, ODIN Engineering is also a specialist in developing new and innovative mechanical solutions in the design of the special machines for machining fibreglass and composite.
”At ODIN, we’ve a slogan that it is easier to tame a wild idea than to invigorate a weak one. It is actually allowed – or rather – a must for us to think outside the box. In this way it becomes much easier for us to find the right solution because we are good at thinking far outside the box,” says Lars Bo Krogh Jensen, and Mads S. Rasmussen adds:
”ODIN Engineering has a flat organisation structure with short decision paths. We’ve talented and competent employees at all levels who work well together and have a good working relationship. It means a lot to our ability to develop innovative solutions for new specialised machines.”
